2016 Adult Learning Online Conference Recap

A big thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Adult Learning Online Conference. Whether you were part of the organizational team, a participant, moderator, or presenter, you were all necessary in making this year’s conference another success. This year we had participants and presenters from right here in Alberta, and as far away as Europe. This really speaks to the relationships, professional development, and learning we can cultivate via an online platform, regardless of physical distance.

This year we invited presenters to reflect on where we are now in adult online learning and where we are headed. Some of the topics presenters explored were:
  • open educational resources;
  • gamification; and
  • developing adult online learner confidence.
Our keynote presenter, Dr. Norm Vaughan, shared his expertise in Creating and Sustaining Communities of Inquiry in Adult Online Learning Environments. Want to catch a session you missed or share sessions with colleagues? Recordings of all the sessions are now available on our website.

Lastly, we value your feedback, as it helps us continue to grow and improve the conference. Please click here to fill out our short survey.

Thank you to our learning and conference partner, NorQuest College in Edmonton, AB.
